Twine Privacy Policy

Twine helps couples share plans, tasks, reminders, trips, and partner invites. This policy explains what information Twine collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly or create while using Twine, including:

How We Use Information

We use this information to operate and improve Twine, including to:

Service Providers

Twine uses service providers to run the app. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and serverless functions; Expo for builds and push notification delivery; PostHog for product analytics; Sentry for crash reporting; OpenAI for AI-assisted loop interpretation; Apple and Google for account sign-in and optional calendar connections; Apple for TestFlight; and Vercel for public web pages and universal link files.

AI Features

If you use AI loop creation, the text you enter and the context needed to interpret it may be sent to OpenAI so Twine can suggest a structured loop. Do not enter sensitive information you do not want processed by an AI service.

Calendar And Notifications

Twine connects to Apple Calendar or Google Calendar only when you choose that feature, and only one calendar provider can be active at a time. Calendar access is used to add, update, or remove Twine loop events. Apple Calendar changes happen on your device. For Google Calendar, Twine stores an encrypted authorization credential on its servers so syncing can continue after the initial connection. Notification access is used to register your device and deliver reminders or partner activity notifications.

Twine's use of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Twine does not use Google Calendar data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Sharing

Twine is built for shared couple workspaces. Content in a shared workspace can be visible to the other partner in that workspace. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention And Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Twine, maintain security, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. You can request account deletion in the app settings. Shared workspace records may remain available to the other partner unless they are deleted from the workspace.

Your Choices

You can turn notifications on or off in Twine and in your device settings. You can revoke Apple Calendar access in iOS Settings, disconnect Google Calendar in Twine, or revoke Twine from your Google Account permissions. You can sign out or request account deletion from Twine settings.

Children

Twine is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as Twine changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
